Earlier this month, we brought you the news (hint, it's the one below) that NetSurf had been ported over to Zeta (and BeOS). The port, publicly announced at the NetSurf website, was done by François Revol, also known as mmu_man, which means, in chinese, "the man with many projects" :)

Today, François got it running on Haiku and I asked him for a screenshot. Nice as always, he obliged. And here it is, NetSurf running on Haiku and not only that, but a download link as well, for you to test. Enjoy.

it's still very crashprone.
It crashes on haiku-os.org (though it used not to), and tends to hang on sites with frames...

Does this work on R5? I tried the compiled version, but I get an error about "libz.so" not being present.

I tried it on R5 + bone but it would not launch. I figured I have to install haiku on my old pc (:

It should work on R5-BONE. net_server isn't supported and won't probably ever be.

It asks for libz.so here too, using BeOS Dano.

@stephenb
you're missing the zlib shared library - libz.so on BeOS.

Install Libpak & you'll get zlib plus other main libs.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Haiku r26375 yet...'Missing Library'.

11.5 MB binary, 17 MB in total - is it debug build?
